The challenge

The Valeo Foods Group came into being in 2010 with the amalgamation of two of Ireland’s best known food companies. Since then it has built a portfolio of companies and brands across the UK and Europe and is now one of the continent’s fastest growing consumer foods producers. The Valeo Foods Group selected Strata3 as a digital partner and tasked us with the challenge of creating a website to showcase Valeo’s success story and its business strategy of ‘acquire, integrate, innovate, and grow’  to future business partners and clients.

The strategy

Strata3 recommended a ‘content first’ strategy for the creation of The Valeo Food Group’s website.  The focus was to create valuable, relevant content to provide a detailed introduction of Valeo’s business philosophy and history to prospective business partners. This content would then be used as the inspiration for the site roadmap, inspiring both the design aesthetic and user experience.

The implementation

To capture the content themes and detail, a series of workshops were held with key Valeo staff to ‘download’ the company’s philosophy, successes, goals and aspirations. The resultant material was then split out into key themes, and written content crafted to support those themes. The modern corporate design theme was complimented by bespoke branded product photography to add visual reinforcement to the site copy.

The results

The Valeo Group Foods website creates an immediate visual and editorial reflection of the dynamic, professional and future-focused nature of the company. The succinct, jargon free presentation of written and visual information combined with the logical and easily navigated user flow ensures the end user can find the information they seek with ease, while being introduced to other relevant and thought provoking aspects of Valeo’s operation as they navigate.
