eir is Ireland’s largest telco. Strata3 has collaborated with eir on many significant digital projects and propositions in addition to providing a dedicated onsite cross-functional BAU team.

The challenge

Strata3 were awarded the contract to provide eir with a strategic digital delivery solution. This required the placement of dedicated resources onsite to deliver analytics, UX/UI, content services, development & platform support as part of a collaborate digital transformation program for both the eir & Meteor brands. The challenge was to deliver an ‘agency solution’ at a client location, manage dedicated teams, create operational cost-efficiencies and streamline the process of large and day-to-day digital programs and achieve agreed performance KPI’s.

The strategy

Our initial engagement with eir involved digital consulting, business analysis, technology road-mapping, analysing and optimising the online delivery workflow, replacing the internal tool-sets and systems and initiating weekly agile stand-ups and monthly steering meetings. The strategy sessions created shared KPI’s for online sales and support metrics between Strata3 and the internal eir stakeholders. Overall, the strategy for success necessitated that Strata3’s dedicated team become de facto part of eir’s online delivery function as embedded, onsite partners working alongside our client.

The implementation

Strata3 deployed a senior team with consulting, BA, PM, UX and technology skill-sets. This team redesigned the entire ‘requirements-to-live’ workflow and set the framework for future delivery resources. This dedicated team also includes; support & account management as a fully ‘ring-fenced’ high-performance team for eir. Key deliverables included; a new online delivery process, dedicated onsite team, replacement of legacy Enterprise WCMS with OpenCMS, rebrand of 40 websites and apps within 3-months, redesign of sales journeys and launch of eir Sport.
