An Post, Ireland’s national postal service, selected Strata3 to deliver a future roadmap of online communications and commercial channels as an overall digital transformation program.

The challenge

An Post, Ireland’s national postal service has 10,000 staff, offers products and services from traditional mail services, financial services including mobile and insurance products among many others via their network of 1,000 post offices. Through an international competitive tendering process, An Post selected Strata3 as their digital consulting and delivery partner to help them in planning, designing, developing and executing a digital transformation program with the goal of commercialising An Post’s products and services via new and enhanced online channels.

The strategy

Strata3 initiated monthly steering meetings with An Post stakeholders as the client governance model to focus on planning, resources, dependencies and help deliver the roadmap. A decision on web technology was needed and Strata3 recommended Kentico Enterprise Marketing Suite (EMS) as the CMS, eCommerce & CRM platform for the future. The next strategy was to agree a requirements & commercial model to ensure all projects included business analysis, documentation and associated statement of works to agree scope, plan & costs.

The implementation

Strata3’s Business Analysts commenced a requirements gathering process to devise specifications for a new business portal for An Post, which is in development by our delivery team. Strata3 consulting have worked closely with An Post’s client in the NTMA to map a 3-year digital roadmap for, which is the National Government State Savings body in Ireland managed by An Post. Our current focus is on the overhaul of An as the main digital; real-estate shop-front for the organisation.
