Handling Stress in the workplace

The buzz and holiday chill from Christmas is officially over, it’s the middle of the month, and the mornings and evenings are dark and cold. On weeks like this, it’s easy to let small things which you would ordinarily brush off become big things that stress you out. So, in light of this, we have compiled a few tips together to help you reduce stress throughout the workday.

People are under more pressure than ever in their work lives as well as their personal lives. According to the Healthy Ireland survey last year, 20% of Irish people currently have or have previously had a mental health problem, that is 1 in 5 people. As well as this, 22% of people are currently or have previously worked with someone with a mental health problem, that is nearly 1 in 4.

In a busy studio with multiple projects running at the same time, deadlines can be tight, and pressure can run high if we let it. The key to combatting this is putting people before their work and before any projects going on. Whatever is going on in their head or in their lives takes priority.
Although we work extremely hard within the hours of 9am – 5.30pm we never forget to have the craic.  Friday bake off, Spotify Fridays, treat days, early finishes etc.
